THE END OF THE DAY:

After the morning at school in the afternoon at job from six o’clock when I finished the job back to my apartment for some rest, in my free time or review what we have studied in class in the morning, or watch television with my roommates, then in the evening preparing food, I have the good fortune of living with a Brazilian student, is an excellent cook and occasionally prepares Brazilian meals very good. When finished eating, or we look a movie in Spanish all together or go out to the streets to drink in many bars of the city.

SALAMANCA BY NIGHT:

In the evening the city offers plenty of fun to find everything, there are many restaurants with local dishes, but also Italian and Chinese restaurant for example, the streets of the city there are plenty of tapas bars where you found many young people and students, these bars will eat many different things and the price is low. In Salamanca you can go out every day of the week always something is open and there are many people in the streets from all over the Spain, like Granada, Valencia and Seville…walking you can easily reach all the clubs in the area such as Camelot, Gatsby, El Puerto de Chus, Morgana, Submarino, Moderno and Cum-Laude.

WORK:

In the curriculum at my university, in the third year I have to do an internship in a company or firm, just as I improve my Spanish, I thought that occupy jobs here in Salamanca would be very useful, so the Universpain also gave me this opportunity. I work in the office of school, located in a building very close to my apartment, I just started but I am very well, is a great work environment and I work from three to six in the afternoon.

FIRST DAY OF COURSE:

Monday, November 23, I started my first day of school, the school offers three types of arrangements which the student’s progress, a standard Spanish course, an intensive Spanish course, and one called power course, I chose the standard course and my classes start at ten in the morning and finish at two in the afternoon. Since the first hour I was just fine, our professor, Pablo, is a boy of twenty-six years and knows how to make lessons interesting, from 10 to 12 do two hours of grammar, there are in three at the lesson, me, Raphael and a French boy, from 11:45 to 12:45 to take a break where you can get out of school or use school computers. From 12:45 until 14 adds an Italian girl and do two hours of conversation in Spanish, learn the customs and traditions of Spanish and many other things.

THE FIRST DAY:

My first day was Friday 19 November 2010, I came to Madrid and then I took the subway to the train station in Madrid and then the train to Salamanca (Site of the school `s is a very accurate and as easy to get to Salamanca), upon my arrival in town I noticed the availability of people, even a man through his mobile phone by downloading the map of the city showed me the route to get to my apartment. In Calle Mejico a guy who works for Universpain waiting for me, showed me my house and handed me the keys. They share the house with me two Italian girls, Valentina and Sara, and though we speak the same language, we speak only Spanish in the apartment, at first I did a little hard work because my Spanish is beginner level, after two or three days I got used to and I always try to speak Spanish, never Italian. The evening of my arrival, my roommate went to the home of Spanish friends and other nationalities, I took her and so I could just meet new students like me, we ate and drank together, and then we played a board game, it was very difficult to play in Spanish because it was my first day but has been like taking a power course and learned new words immediately. Sunday, November 21 has arrived in the apartment another roommate, a Brazilian boy named Raphael, with whom I immediately have a good close relationship of friendship, and now we go out at night to drink and have fun together at the disco and bar.

VISIT THE CITY:

The second day I visited the city, and I had the impression of a city rich in culture and history, with the wonderful university  that is the oldest of Spain founded in the thirteenth century, its cathedrals, the Casas de Las Conchas and the Palace of Monterrey. The town center is the plaza mayor, the confluence of the main streets of the city, the whole area around this square is full of bars, disco-pub, bar and tapas, many of these bars have a wi-fi connection and you can drink a beer and use your laptop, unless you have your computer there are also internet points.

BEFORE LEAVING:

The school has its students do a placement test on the Internet to separate different classes according to the result obtained, and makes the choice of three accommodation options, a shared apartment with other students Universpain in single or double room, a residence or the opportunity to live in a family.
